Armour Heights
The clients wanted a room just for adults. Watch TV, play card games, have a drink with friends and work in this cozy yet stylish place. Clubhouses for grown-ups were the idea. Adding contemporary furniture, a custom desk, and lots of texture complemented the home’s transitional architecture. One of Laura’s favorite tricks to create interest and warmth is adding contrasting wallpaper on the back panels of bookshelves, as the firm did here.
Uptown Living Room
Because the clients’ tastes were more traditional, Laura Stein Interiors had to challenge them to go outside their comfort zone. In terms of glamour and edginess, they wanted a room that was not masculine or cold, but rather glamor in a warm and mellow palette. Laura and her team created a look that uses striking furniture pieces and daring artwork. There is a bold and unexpected result, but a comfortable and soft one as well. It was a dream come true for the clients, but Laura Stein Interiors was unable to accomplish this project due to unfortunate circumstances.
Lytton Park Home
Laura Stein Interiors encountered a simple, empty shell when they first arrived at this Lytton Park home. There is nothing but bare drywall everywhere. With architectural details, statement lighting, and carefully curated furniture, they infused personality into it and made it a vibrant and elegant family home.
