1. Queer Eye, Netflix

Netflix’s Queer Eye – the reboot – is a feel-good interiors show that offers some fantastic interior design ideas. Known for his ability to revamp spaces without losing the personal touches, Bobby Berk is an expert at revamping interiors. The tv show features one lucky person whose life is transformed from top to bottom – including their home. Despite spending less time on the design process compared to other shows, Queer Eye never fails to amaze with its home transformation reveal at the end.

2. Kirsty and Phil’s Love It or List It, Channel 4

Phil Spencer and Kirstie Allsopp, two property experts from Channel 4, compete in a tv show called Love It or List It in which they try to change how families feel about their homes. Kirsty transforms their current home with her interior design charm, while Phil uses a more cutting edge approach by suggesting they move. Each episode is a close call as both competitors bring their A-games to inspire, but all we can do is sit back, enjoy the top notch decor and property advice.

3. Grand Designs, Channel 4

Since it was first broadcast in 1999, Grand Designs, the OG of homes shows, has followed some of the most ambitious self-build projects in the country, with homebuilders pursuing their dream properties. While the tv show primarily focuses on architecture, viewers are able to take an up-close look at the interiors once the building is finished, revealing some gorgeous interior design. If you want to learn how interior design and architecture can work together, this is a great tv show to watch.

4. Dream Home Makeover, Netflix

In Dream Home Makeover on Netflix, it’s not just about seeing lavish mansions and flawless interior design concepts, it’s also about experiencing the happily married lives of Shea and Syd McGee. During the tv show, cameras record the couple’s most memorable family moments as well as their daily lives running a design studio. The projects have a wide range of clients – and budgets – so there’s lots of variety. You’ll also get a decent idea of where many of the current Pinterest trends are coming from.

5. Tiny House Nation, Netflix

Many of us believe that living in a smaller place is a step backward, but Tiny House Nation will quickly change your opinion – especially if you watch all five seasons in order! John Weisbarth and Zach Giffin, the hosts, embark on a cross-country tour to assist a lot of the people downsizing in style. The tv show definitely makes you think about how big our homes need to be to provide us what we actually want from them, especially with the rise of notions like minimalism, sustainability, and balanced living.

6. Interior Design Masters, BBC iPlayer

Interior Design Masters offers everything a show like this needs to be successful: a compelling competition, real-life drama, and breathtaking results. As a group of ambitious designers battle for the chance to earn a life-changing contract, the popular interior design tv show reveals the creative process behind these unique design proposals. Fearne Cotton, a well-known host, presented the first season, while Alan Carr, a well-known comedian, and interior design expert Michelle Ogundehin hosted the second.

7. Escape to the Chateau, Channel 4

When Dick and Angel Strawbridge renovated the 19th century Château de la Motte-Husson in Martigné-sur-Mayenne, France, while running their event and wedding business, they grabbed the hearts of millions. The tv show has developed from its basic concept to different forms, such as Escape to the Chateau DIY, in which the Strawbridges offer guidance and support to other immigrants who are seeking to start a business similar to theirs.
